Mt. Himlung Expedition
Mt. Himlung has been becoming popular day by day among the climbers, and this peak is one among the seldom visited mountain of Nepal. Its situated between the border of Nepal and Tibet in the north of Mt. Annapurna and Manaslu. Majestically located above the Tibetan village of Phu in the western region of Nepal, that was open to tourists in 1992 by the Nepalese government and ever since only few expedition teams including Japanese and French have carried out expeditions.
After 6 hours of drive to Beshishar from Kathmandu, our trek commences from the classic Annapurna circuit route till Dharapani. Via Koto, we then trek to Tibetan village, Kyang, Phugaon where we spend an extra day for acclimatization and local exploration. We establish our Base Camp at 4842m on a grassy land. While our strong team of sherpas set up various high camps. Members have the opportunity to climbing up and down for sound acclimatization and we attempt summit on a favorable day for everyone. Due to our good strategy and export logistic supports, the success rate to this mountain has been high every year.
